If we are called to be witness for
Christ, then are we truly witnessing for Christ?
(1) To be a witness we must possess the
power by receiving the Holy Spirit.
a)
When we have the Holy Spirit we
have been insured to enter the Kingdom of God.
Eph 1:13-14
b) We
have given the Spirit to overcome fear 2Tim 1:17
c) The
Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children Romans 8:16
(2) We have advised not quench the Spirit of God,
when we quenched the Spirit of God our hope for
eternal life is lost. 1Thessalonia 1:19
Saul was an example of a person who
quenched the spirit of God 1Samuel 16:14
Therefore, many of us who have quenched
the Holy Spirit have forgotten the life of Christ and they enjoy sins such as: fornication, quarrel, strife, gossip and
hatred etc.
(3) But the one who stands firm to the
end will be saved -Matthew 24:13
Those who will inherit the Kingdom are
those who witnessed with Christ Mathew 10: 32-33
When we witness for Christ we must be
prepared for
Ø To
receive persecution
Ø Carry
our cross daily and follow Christ
Ø Live
the life of Christ
Ø Tell
others about Christ
Ø Make
Christ known everywhere
Ø Work
for Christ
Ø Become
Ambassadors of Christ.
Conclusion:
We must go out there to do the work of
God, and witness for Christ because there is where our rewards lied and it is
only those who witnessed for Christ that had a reward in heaven.
IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE QUENCHED THE
SPIRIT OF GOD BY THE WAY YOU HAVE LIVED YOUR LIFE, I WANT YOU TO STAND UP NOW
AND BEGIN TO CONFESS TO GOD FOR FORGIVESS. AND IF YOU KNOW YOU NEED THE POWER
TO WITNESS FOR CHRIST YOU CAN COME OUT AND WE WILL PRAY FOR YOU.
