The end of all things is near

 

Readings 1Peter 4:7-11

“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer” (1 Pet. 4:7).

Bible is telling us that the end of all things is at hand that we should watch the way we live our lives.

How you live your life today shows you whom you are and destination

As at this moment there are many
(1) Tribulations
(2) Suffering
(3) False Teaching
(4) Fleshy Desires
(4) Sickness etc. 2 Timothy 3:2–5

In the midst of all these, bible is still telling us that we should fight for victory. For whosoever wins these battles will have part in the Kingdom of God.

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” Matt. 24:13 Our Fight Ephesians 6:12

In the midst of these what is expected from us:
1. Be serious and
2. Watchful in your prayers

How do we achieve these

1. Ready to endure
1 Peter 4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because he who has suffered in his body is done with sin

2. Having a Right Attitude
Hebrews 12:14–16 Cleansing of heart

3. Living For God
1 Peter 4:2 avoid the love of the world 1 John 2:15–17

4. A life of Accountability
2 Corinthians 5:10
